Public Service

Last night we ate at the Backyard Tavern & Chop House at 14555 Grisby which used to be the Grisby Grill. We were very disappointed to say the least. My pork chop was rare to raw in the middle and my wife's filet was burnt (she'd asked for medium well). The vegetable of the day, a medley, was cold and uninspired. We also had a shrimp cocktail (ok but could have used some horse radish in the sauce and a squeeze of lemon), salads (ok) and bread (ok). For $66 for the food I definitely expect eatable entrees. I noticed one of the other diners (there were only three occupied tables) sending back their pork chop to be cooked further. We will never be back.

The Memorial Grill

The Memorial Grill
14510 Memorial Drive
Houston, Texas 77079
281-496-1780

I could not find the menu of this BYOB Houston restaurant online so I scanned in the menu myself. You can bring your own wine with no corkage fee and they also serve a selection of wines and beers. I am not affiliated with them so the menu I scanned in may not match the current menu if it changes in the future. They feature take out with a drive through window for pick up, table service and to go.
